Slow Down, Ground & Attune

June 5-7, in Bahrain

Hello! I’m Ali and I’m delighted you’ve found your way to my site.

Having grown up in Bahrain, I’m thrilled to be coming home to share some of the practices and insights that have made all the difference in my life and healing journey.

My intention in teaching is to inspire and empower human beings to hold space for themselves and take accountability for their own wellbeing.

What I have in store for you

  • This 90-minute practice is all about slowing down, grounding and tuning into your body. It’s suitable for all levels and prioritizes right-breathing, alignment and fostering ease with the intention to support the nervous system’s bid to self-regulate.

The sequence will include asana, simple pranayama, somatic practices, embodiments and guided meditations. Sometimes, I weave in a poem or two!

    When: 7-8.30PM, Wednesday June 5th
    Where: Capricorn Residential Gardens, Janabiyah
    Investment: BD12

  • A sohba is gathering with the intention of recalling or connecting with the Divine and this circle will include poetry, chanting and an opportunity to meditate on the heart.

It’s a snippet of Yoga With Rumi, the yearly program I run in Rumi’s hometown of Konya and a favourite of my community back in Egypt.

I’ll provide a set of Rumi books for us to explore together but you’re more than welcome to bring your own poems, so long as they’re of a spiritual/devotional nature.

    When: 7-9PM, June 6th
    Where: Capricorn Residential Gardens, Janabiyah

  • The primary goals of this workshop are to give you a direct experience of grounding and feeling safe in your body and to empower you with practical tools and insight so you can continue this life-changing work on your own.

It includes guided practices, invitations to connect with yourself, conversations, and explorations to help you ground, relate to your feelings and cultivate a felt-sense of safety.

The workshop is intended to be approachable and designed for anyone seeking to come home to themselves with compassionate awareness and take responsibility for their journey of healing and wellbeing. If you’re a highly sensitive human being, tend to feel rushed, stressed or anxious, get overwhelmed by your emotions, have a hard time relating to your body or find yourself struggling with grief, heartbreak or a difficult transition, I want you to know that this program is particularly suited to you.

What you’ll experience and learn will help you develop deeper connection, intimacy and safety in your relationship with yourself and teach you how to better understand and navigate the challenges that arise when your nervous system encounters stress, fear, and other activations.

This offering is inspired by 10+ years of teaching yoga and meditation, as well as my studies of the nervous system and trauma work.
